Westport, CT, October 5, 2012 – Bill McNee, founder and CEO of Saugatuck Technology, will feature prominently in two upcoming technology events hosted by CDM Media, a company that produces a wide range of strategic business and CIO-level events.
On November 7-8, 2011, McNee will moderate two executive panels at the CIO Summit, to be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami, Florida. The first panel, entitled “Transitioning to the Cloud – Lessons Learned and Industry Best Practices,” will provide insights into how and where large enterprises have gotten the biggest bang from their Cloud investments thus far, as well as the most important best practices learned in the process. Joining McNee on the panel will be Rich Roseman, VP of IT and CIO, at News Corp., and John Collier, Chief Technology Architect & Corporate VP, Wal-Mart.
At the CIO Summit, McNee will also moderate a second panel entitled “Business Database Management: Dealing with Big Data & Information Overload,” focusing on challenges with emergent NoSQL approaches, and best practices when dealing with information overload. Joining McNee on the panel will be Jim Sullivan, Director, Business Intelligence, Shane Company; Nithin Johnson, Head of Analytics and Business Intelligence, Citi; and Jared Benesh, GM, Sprint Nextel.
On December 8-9, 2011, McNee will serve as Master of Ceremonies at the CIO Cloud Summit, to be held at the Montelucia Resort, in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to delivering the opening and closing remarks, McNee will moderate a panel entitled “Developing Custom Business Applications in the Cloud” that will discuss what is required to successfully build and deploy custom business applications in the cloud, including the specialized skills and new processes required for success (agile application development and quality control), as well as knowledge about the new deployment architectures that are emerging (non-relational data, multitenant kernels)
