Steve Kovsky is a veteran market analyst, journalist and author, with more than 20 years of experience in high technology. He currently serves as an analyst and Senior Strategy Consultant with Saugatuck Technology, where he works primarily with senior IT leaders related to Cloud IT and solutions deployment.

Steve also serves as a contributing editor for InformationWeek Magazine and other TechWeb/United Business Media brands. He specializes in empowering IT leadership in a variety of technical areas. In addition, Steve is an on-air Technology News Commentator for CBS Radio (KFWB News 980 in Los Angeles) and CW Television Network affiliate XETV (San Diego 6) in San Diego, Calif.

Previously, Steve was a Principal Analyst at Current Analysis, a San Diego market research firm that was acquired by NPD in 2007. Prior to this, Steve served as Vice President and Editorial Director for Centric Events Group, an organizer of technical trade shows and conferences across North America. In addition to these experiences, Steve previously spent more than 10 years in an editorial management capacity with CNET Networks/CBS Interactive; ZDNet/TechRepublic; PC Week/eWeek;  and others. Steve is the author of two popular technology "how to” books for consumers: "The Absolute Beginner’s Guide to Windows XP Media Center Edition,” (Que, 2004), which was republished in 2005 by Dell Computer, and "High-Tech Toys for Your TV: Secrets of TiVo, Xbox, ReplayTV, UltimateTV and More" (Que 2002).
