Social technologies and mobile devices evolved in the marketplace concurrently. By bringing them into the enterprise, business and IT leaders can take advantage of a broad range of capabilities developed for consumer technologies and use them to develop business capabilities. The onus for innovation, however, rests with the creative IT leader, as providers of social business software and mobile devices remain largely undifferentiated with respect to business centric capabilities.
